Find out what it's like to be a graduate working on services which benefit millions of customers

I’d always heard good things about Barclays, especially in terms of support, diversity and
flexibility. I wanted somewhere I could truly develop and flourish – and that’s what led me
here.

I’ve really enjoyed the rotations during my Customer Banking Solutions graduate
programme. While it’s quite challenging at first – you get settled with one team and then
move to the next – there are so many advantages to experiencing this kind of change early
on in your career. I got to work with new people across different business areas, it made me
more resilient, and I built up a far-reaching network along the way.

If you’re extremely passionate about something, your voice will be heard.

As for my role itself, it’s rewarding to deliver products or services that benefit millions of UK
customers. I can go online or visit a branch and see the impact I’ve had; it’s an amazing
feeling. And I’m always thinking up new ways to support our customers, something that’s
encouraged at Barclays. It’s an innovative place to be, you’re empowered to go above
the norm and your ideas are genuinely valued.

It’s also a diverse and inclusive place to be. There’s a strong sense of support for junior
female talent: we have the WIN network and I’m a proud member of the Black Professionals
Forum, which support Black, Asian and minority ethnic graduates like myself with
career development. Barclays’ culture is great because there’s something for everyone to
get involved in. If you’re extremely passionate about something, your voice will be heard.
