Learn more about working in Investment Banking in Singapore

There's so much talent and experience at Barclays. There's always someone you can turn to for help and always something new you can learn. The other side to that is a complete absence of blame culture. We face challenges together. And if ever a mistake is made or a problem is encountered, we find a way to overcome it as a team.

I studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. I first joined Barclays in Hong Kong, where I spent two and half years with the Greater China Industrial team, before making the move to Singapore, where I now focus on South East Asian clients.

I get to meet so many interesting people from all walks of life.

The job itself is different every day, which makes it interesting and fun. And we're always coming up with fresh ideas to stay one step ahead. Most of these ideas are focused on making life better for our clients. But for those of us who work here, that the spirit of innovation makes it an inspiring place to develop a career too.

What I enjoy most about my work – and life in general at Barclays – however, is that I get to meet so many interesting people from all walks of life. Clients, investors, lawyers, consultants, competitors and colleagues from different functions. Over the years, it has become more than just a workplace for me. And some of those people have become my closest friends.
