Job Title : DevOps Tech lead
Location : Chennai
• We are looking for a Dev Ops tech lead to join the engineering team at USCB Marketing and communications division. We develop applications for the purpose of communicating with the customers which includes emails, text messages, document management services as well as statement generation and availability
• As a member of engineering team you will Create new, and manage existing, deployment of applications / processes using Barclays standards. Deployments should be implemented in a fashion which is manageable by RTB (Run The Bank) teams in production environments, as well as, usable to complete daily tasks in an automated fashion in non-production environments
What will you be doing?
• Development of Programs and Processes to Automate Deployment of Applications
• Creation of Jenkins pipelines for automation
• Creation of AWS Cloud Formation Scripts for application deployment
• Documentation of all developed Processes including accesses necessary
• Management of Production Deployment Processes
• Creation of Implementation Plans, working with other team members for completeness
• Automating processes between software development and IT teams, in order that they can build, test, and release software faster and more reliably
• work independently with minimum supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Manage expectations of the stakeholders/senior management by providing timely status reports and highlighting risks/issues as needed
• Lead the team of young Data engineers and deliver high quality code in a timely fashion
What we’re looking for :
• Experience with Developing
o Jenkins Pipelines
o AWS Cloud Formation Scripts
o Chef Scripts (Windows and UNIX)
• Knowledge of UNIX scripting language (BASH, SH)
• Proficient with Object oriented programming languages – Groovy, Python
• Working knowledge of AWS environments
• Hands on with:
o Build automation tools – Maven, Graddle
o Artifact management tools Nexus, Artifactory
• Knowledge of Docker Containers
• Experience working with APAAS (OpenShift / Kubernetes)
• Extremely detail-oriented and ability to prioritize and see projects through to completion
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Ability to multi-task several projects concurrently with little supervision
• Must have excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to work with all levels of management
• Experience working in Agile feature delivery framework as well as SDLC life-cycles and processes.
Skills that will help you in the role
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology discipline
• AWS Dev Ops Certification
• Experience with Terraform Scripts
• Knowledge of SSL Certificates (creation and management)
• Knowledge of NoSQL Databases (Mongo) and SQL Databases (MySQL / MariaDB)
• Awareness of static quality analysis tools such as sonar
• Awareness of security analysis tools such as Veracode
• Promote Automation, reusable components
• Experience of Barclays systems, data, products and processes
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to present the findings to the business users.
• Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal with numerous tasks simultaneously and with frequently changing priorities.
• Banking domain experience
