Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:

The role is primarily to identify data quality issues relating to Controls data (specifically issues, actions and risk events) either from analysis of the data quality metrics or from feedback from stakeholders. Responsible for implementing tactical fixes to address the data quality issues via outreaches to Coordinators and CBPs or via the running of tech scripts in partnership with the ORAC RTB team on the back of data attribution exercises. Also responsible for liaising with and educating stakeholders on data attribution guidelines and data governance providing updates on progress via the Service Council, Stakeholder Huddles.  

Responsible for sourcing, collating, validating, producing and publishing the MI dashboards for each source of Control Issues. They will also be responsible for the safekeeping of all the data (e.g. Controls data, Reference Data, etc. through CCO Data Management Office), data model and analytical tools supporting the production. In addition to the dashboards there are numerous ad-hoc requests for data / specific reports that must also be produced. Role holder will also require to participate in various Data and Control Governance forums to provide input as well as take actions back to their area. Accuracy, version control and timeliness are key to the success of this role.

This activity includes, but is not limited to, assessment of controls data suitability (including data model, data attribution, data quality, etc.), identification, analysis and explanation of anomalous volumes or results, supporting / implementing control dashboard’s logical configuration decisions and playing a key role in the monthly controls dashboard production process, which will evolve from a tactical solution (Access, Excel, PowerPoint) to a more robust strategic solution (e.g. Altryx, Tableau, Qlikview, etc.) over a period of time.

What will you be doing?

The role holder will be accountable for forward planning, prioritization to ensure accurate and timely preparation of the Control Data strategy, Data Management, Access Review, Data Attribution, Controls MI, Governance and Risk Management. The role holder will set the benchmark for “best of breed” solutions to the MI preparation and Risk Management practises. The role holder will maintain a continual focus on improving efficiency and consistency.

•    Reviewing the usability and efficiency of the ORAC access request process to ensure that colleagues have the right level of access to perform their role.
•    Ensuring all ORAC attributes (e.g. data fields) are reviewed and are accurate in the system.  This is achieved by working with BIA and Compliance to ensure appropriate interlock of data attributes and ownership with IROs before publication, educating stakeholders on the Data Attribution Validation template and guidelines and producing reports (e.g. DQ metrics, daily Assure to ORAC reconciliation) to identify errors and prompt Coordinators, with oversight from CBPs to make the necessary changes directly in ORAC.
•    Alignment of all open records to the Standards in the Global Policy Hub (GPH) instead of the current reporting standards, Correction of Organisation node, Service & TC mapping alignment (to be prioritised when script resource made available), Alignment of open risk events to the new Impacted Vertical-Country-Legal Entity Mappings, Alignment of open risk events to the new Causal Area-Process-Service-Transaction Cycle Mappings 
•    Extract data and analyse it to identify duplicate data or data requiring re-mapping, compile list of suggested fixes, communicate fixes, and obtain approval process fixes.
•    Process ad hoc data loads from Business Units, Business admin jobs e.g. preparing MOMs, booking forums/ meetings, follow-ups, etc.
•    Produce standard set of reports at required frequency to distribute via e-mail or common site (Share point)
•    Produce MI highlighting data inconsistencies and data incompleteness
•    Deals with requests for ad hoc reports from onshore stakeholders 
•    Organises and coordinates implementation of tasks to ensure compliance with goals and unit objectives, as well as maintenance of optimal operating efficiency within the unit

What we’re looking for:

•    Graduate in any discipline
•    Experience in Controls, Governance, Reporting and Risk Management preferably in a financial services organisation
•    Experience in Data Management and Data Governance
•    Proficient in MS Office – PPT, Excel, Work & Visio, SharePoint Online
•    Good understanding of visualisation and automation tools e.g. Tableau, Qliksense, Altryx 
•    Comprehensive understanding of governance and control frameworks and processes
•    Highly motivated, business-focussed and forward thinking.
•    Experience in senior stakeholder management. Ability to manage reporting lines and relationships across multiple disciplines
