Overall purpose of role

To support the growth of cash management revenue in UAE by driving and delivering cash management services to clients across the International Corporate, Financial Institution and Non Bank Financial Institution client segments originating both ‘new to bank’ client mandates, expanding wallet share and servicing of existing clients. 

To support the Head of Cash Management Middle East in driving the cash management strategy in the region especially focussing on enhancing revenues from payments from key sectors such as FinTech and Payment Service Providers. The role will support and drive monetization plans for key product investments and propositions. ensure the risks are mitigated with adequate controls in place.

Key Accountabilities

Driving Cash Management Sales and Origination Activities

Grow portfolio income through increasing payments and cash management wallet share with existing clients, deepen existing relationships and identify opportunities from existing client set

Focus cash management sales focussed towards corporate treasurers identifying opportunities and developing business

Deliver treasury management solutions across liquidity, payments and digital channels including providing cash management structures and regional liquidity management solutions

Grow new to bank cash management income from new clients working closely with Head of Cash Management UAE, Coverage RDs and colleagues across ICB, Global Cash Management Sales and Transaction Banking

             Support the key growth play initiatives for the UAE Cash Management business

              Grow cash management business across corridors – both inbound and outbound from/to the UAE

Active client engagement providing value added services and subject matter expertise in areas of Payments and Cash Management

              Deal accountability for payments and cash management mandates

              Maintain and drive monetization plans for new product initiatives and propositions

Support the growth of deposit balances in line with Balance Sheet and ICB Middle East business strategy and price appetite

Maintaining Robust Sales Management Practice

Ensure sales and pipeline management discipline is followed through regular recording of client discussions, pipeline opportunity, deal status over SalesForce (or any other CRM tool that the Bank implements)

Actively establish sales network – both internally and externally

Stay abreast of market and regulatory developments, acting as a subject matter expert for further product development

Drive cash management product and proposition awareness across ICB country/regional corridors and existing clients

Lead and drive RFP responses working alongside Head of Cash Management Middle East, Coverage RDs, Proposals team and colleagues across Global Cash Management Sales and Transaction Banking

Prepare client specific sales pitchbooks outlining solutions that address client requirements

Understand the end-to-end client experience of the product: maximise client experience through optimising the product-client interface and resolution of client service issues

Support client implementation for originated deals to ensure timely execution and monetization

Risk and Control Objective 

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

Maintain code of conduct in line with banks policies and regulatory guidelines.

Ability to multitask and adhere to strict deadlines.

Understand AML requirements and escalate suspicious transactions to concerned superiors.
