Overall purpose of role

This role offers the opportunity for talented entry level individuals to access meaningful work experience combined with investment in their professional development – all within a globally respected financial services organisation. With a focus on either our Corporate front office, or our Compliance function, the role holder will partner experienced experts and gain a broad foundation to equip them for a successful future career in the organisation. The programme will grant access to both internal and external training and recognised qualifications, whilst also providing the role holder direct involvement in the operation of the business. At Barclays, our collaborative, supportive environment will provide the chance to build solid relationships with senior leaders, peers and clients alike.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support colleagues with the day-to-day operational activities of the department
  • Support in the roll out and execution of projects
  • Drive compliance with all internal, external policies and procedures
  • Participate in formal and informal training designed to give an understanding of how the department operates
  • Embrace the opportunities to expand your network and develop leadership skills

As the role develops, activities may include;  

  • Preparing external and internal presentations
  • Financial analysis, modeling, and industry research
  • Business evaluation and strategic assessment of proposals
  • Client engagement in partnerships with Relationship Managers

  • The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills due to direct interaction with colleague and partners across business areas and locations, as well as potential external client engagement.
