Analyst Banker
Dublin

As a Barclays Analyst Banker within the international corporate banking team, you will be developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of customers in Dublin. Assisting the Relationship Directors with product knowledge, sales research, relationship development and research into solutions to meet customers’ needs using market and industry information and risk management for the portfolio.


This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?

•    Acting as first point of contact for client names together with the Relationship Director and establishing relationships with a portfolio of clients in the Financial Institutions sector 
•    Preparing client meeting presentations, engaging product specialists in Dublin and other areas of the group ensuring a robust contact strategy is in place
•    Assisting with the development of, and revisions to the Client Relationship Plan, preparing and implementing strategic campaigns
•    Identifying and researching potential new customers, supporting with annual client reviews, leading the onboarding process for new clients or new products to existing clients
•    Generating and monitoring leads, preparing pricing and assisting with credit applications
•    Ensuring compliance with mandatory Risk policies and procedures relating to governance, regulatory compliance (including Financial Crime), operational and legal risk
•    Building an effective working partnership with internal support functions: Corporate Credit Managers, Compliance, Legal, KYC, Debt Finance and Transaction Management teams 
•    Liaising with the relevant internal teams to ensure all completion checks and sign-offs are completed and deal funding provided

What we’re looking for:
•    Banking documentation knowledge
•    Knowledge of the Funds and other financial sectors in Ireland, an understanding of policies and procedures relevant to Corporate Banking market
•    Awareness of legislation affecting the Bank and customers (including Data Protection Act, Companies Act, Insolvency Act, Financial Services Act and confidentiality regulations)
•    A knowledge of the impact of the economic environment on customer’s needs and business

You will be based in our new flagship office, One Molesworth Street, which is in the heart of Dublin city Centre. We are currently expanding which drives a culture of change and hard work ethic, nonetheless the company maintains an open, friendly atmosphere.
