Business Information Security Officer
Dublin

As a Barclays Business Information Security Officer, you will be supporting the BE CIO in overseeing and maintaining the IT Security environment of the entity, and providing advice and guidance relating to information security, as appropriate for the BE entity activities. You will do this by providing commercially relevant advice and expertise to the BE CIO and business relating to cyber and information security: governance, reporting, assurance and by leading or overseeing security transformation programs.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
•    Representing Barclays Europe at key Cyber and Information Security fora 
•    Reviewing Cyber Risk Policy, associated standards, Key Risk indicators for Barclays Europe
•    Ensuring Barclays Europe security posture is appropriately identified, reported, and monitored
•    Guaranteeing Barclays Europe has an effective cyber information security strategy 
•    Influencing, identifying, tracking, and monitoring programs for the strategic advancement of cyber information security 
•    Coordinating cyber information security matters with its European regulators


What we’re looking for:
•    Significant experience in working within the information and cyber security field, including systems audit, internal controls and/or security consulting
•    Proven experience at implementing or managing risk management processes and tools
•    Broad understanding of how to mitigate or reduce risks, drawing on technical experience, risk assessment, and management reports
•    Proven experience in leading and managing multiple stakeholders within a complex matrix environment across multiple geographies


Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Significant professional experience and /or qualification preferred
•    Proven experience in relevant information risk and control frameworks including NIST, ISO27001 
•    Information security accreditation such as CISSP, CISA
•    Broad knowledge of relevant regulatory environment within European Union

You will be based in our new flagship office, One Molesworth Street, which is in the heart of Dublin city centre.
