What will you be doing?
• Assisting in the preparation of Pillar three reporting on a quarterly basis, including the preparation of appropriate internal governance materials and annual resolution reporting
• Providing support on regulatory issues to the Finance, Credit, Risk and Coverage teams
• Collaborating with Barclays’ Group regulatory teams to produce best in class internal and external regulatory reporting, along with effective communication and development of solutions
• Overseeing the numbers from a regulatory perspective, demonstrating integrity and control while managing business demands and stakeholder’s expectations
• Identifying areas of improvement as well as driving efficiency and quality of department outputs, ensuring a consistent high level of financial control is maintained at all times
• Analysing problems and evaluating options in a logical and systematic way
• Advising stakeholders to create clarity in complex situations, to understand problems, evaluate options and recommend decisions
• Developing and maintaining good working relationships with wider BBI teams and Barclays group colleagues
What we’re looking for:
• Previous experience of working in a Regulatory reporting role for an investment bank
• Good knowledge of the Capital Requirements regulation and the Baking Recovery and Resolution Directive
• Experience in preparing and reviewing COREP, Large Exposures, Leverage and Asset Encumbrance reporting, with the proven ability to meet tight timelines
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, being able to collaborate and present results to senior stakeholders
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Professional qualification in accountancy or in a similar discipline (e.g. CFA, with PQE in an investment bank) would be preferred
• Good analytical and problem solving mind-set, with the ability and willingness to get into details to find solutions
• Proven experience of working across multiple business areas, functions and locations, being able to manage projects in the delivery of a change agenda
• Excellent IT skills with a high proficiency in MS Excel, Word & MS Suite
Where will you be working?
You will be based in our new flagship office, One Molesworth Street, which is in the heart of Dublin city centre. We are currently expanding which drives a culture of change and hard work ethic, nonetheless the company maintains an open, friendly atmosphere. This is enhanced through our unique on-boarding programs and a number of committees which all employees are eligible to join.
