Treasury & Capital Risk Analyst 
Dublin

This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

As a Barclays Treasury & Capital Risk Analyst, you will be working with the Risk leads to provide robust challenge to the first line teams who both originate from Product and Treasury team, which work to centralize and hedge the risks, ensuring that the entity is operating within its risk appetite. We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. What will you be doing:
• Monitoring and reviewing internal and external reporting, liaising with Barclays Group Treasury & Capital Risk (TCR) and Front Office teams
• Developing a detailed understanding of the various Capital and Liquidity Risk functions in TCR in order to ensure all risks are identified, understood and measured 
• Engaging collaboratively with the Front Office on a regular basis to discuss and assess risk impacts of market events and investment strategies
• Monitoring market activity and providing review and analysis with respect to market movements and risk exposures
• Preparing management updates on portfolio profile and top risks based on conducted analysis
• Ensuring that exposures are within limits; maintaining and executing risk controls
• Supporting the creation of Monthly/Quarterly attestations relating to data quality and risk factor completeness

What we’re looking for:
• Experience within the financial services with and excellent knowledge of investment bank financial services front-to back processes and controls
• Ability to engage collaboratively with Risk staff at all levels, including the Heads of TCR & their direct reports and senior business stakeholders
• Organization skills, with excellent attention to detail, and effective, clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skill and ability to provide robust challenge within the second line 

Skills that will help you in the role:
• A university degree at undergraduate level or higher; or equivalent in work experience
• Basic understanding of Treasury and Capital risks
• Excellent control mindset, with an understanding of the importance of a robust governance and control structure
• Change agent, with a proven ability to drive forward & effect change within teams.
