As Barclays Covered Bonds Strategist, you will be a part of Credit Strategy Research team which is responsible for the house view of European credit markets from a macro perspective. You will assist the Lead Covered Bond and SSA Strategist (Sovereign, Supranational and Agency Debt) in creating actionable trade themes across Covered Bonds and SSAs but also engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

What will you be doing?
•    Assisting in forming the Barclays public view on covered bonds and SSAs: supply, demand, regulatory trends, valuations at a cross-asset, macro and micro RV perspective
•    Presenting these views in published research reports, at conferences and meetings with clients, as well as internally to stakeholders in sales, trading, banking
•    Producing actionable trade themes across covered bonds and SSAs
•    Engaging with external stakeholders on published views and receiving feedback on client views
•    Engaging with sales, trading and banking colleagues on data and knowledge to help them leverage the research franchise
•    Assisting with producing material for conference presentations
•    Collaborating with the credit research team – IG credit strategists and bank fundamental analysts
•    Working closely with the broader research franchise – economists and rates strategists

What we’re looking for:
•    Degree in Banking, Finance or similar
•    Financial and quantitative analysis experience from buy-side or sell-side 
•    Previous experience working in bonds, SSA
•    Excellent communication skills: both written and spoken
