Vice President, Fintech and FX Automation Sales

As a Barclays Vice President - Fintech & FX Automation Sales, you will have an exciting chance to originate and lead the FX relationships and product offering for Fintech and Automation clients in Greater China. You will provide bespoke automated risk management solutions - Held Rates (NetFX), Worflow Management (BASE), Payments solution (BARXPay) - for all clients looking to digitise their workflows, increase operational efficiency, reduce both their market risk and operational cost.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing, articulating and delivering a strategy to acquire and grow new FX business in the region
  • Leading a portfolio of clients based on the footprint of Fintech clients covered by Markets and the Corporate bank in the region
  • Originating new clients in partnership with regional coverage and product teams
  • Delivering expert assistance and analysis to Bankers and Relationship Directors and the support staff on all FX related content to ensure acquisition and growth of FX business
  • Working with Fintech and eCommerce clients in the region and developing strategic partnerships with them to deliver NetFX /BASE /BARX Pay solution globally
  • Being a key member of the team globally to co-ordinate client opportunities with FX and transactional FX sales colleagues in UK, Europe and the US
  • Building and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders across Product, Coverage and Trading teams to ensure business opportunities are progressed
  • Understanding of markets and regulatory requirements with technical knowledge

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent relationship management and inter-personal skills to navigate internal relationships with Bankers, Relationship Directors and colleagues in the global FX team
  • Knowledge of the eCommerce and high-tech sector including new cross-border payment technologies
  • Must be fluent in Mandarin
  • Excellent negotiation skills and commercially astute

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to manage clients across their platform
  • Good knowledge of the ecommerce and fintech sector
  • Good knowledge FX markets
  • Ability to work accurately and quickly to tight deadlines

Where will you be working?

Our offices are situated in the center of Hong Kong’s financial district, at 2 Queen’s Road. Cheung Kong Centre is an investment banking hub that offers panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Kowloon Peninsula. There is a variety of local amenities, and you will be just a short walk from shopping malls, health clubs and multiple transport links.
