CTE Tech Controls Tester 
Knutsford or Glasgow

As a Barclays CTE Tech Controls Tester, you will be supporting the business in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Barclays information assets and critical infrastructure. You will be providing assurance to Technology Leadership regarding the design and operating effectiveness of the Technology control environment in mitigating relevant risks through a defined and agreed programme of testing activity for Barclays.

What will you be doing?
• Reviewing activities to remediate control gaps and assessing whether the risk has been fully mitigated and whether the implemented controls are sustainable for Barclays
• Identifying, evaluating, reporting and escalating risks in line with Barclays risk and control frameworks, utilising relevant tools and analytical techniques
• Providing guidance to ensure compliance with Policies, Standards, frameworks and procedures across Business Units, Functions and Shared Services
• Reporting the results of testing activities to Senior Stakeholders across Business Units, Functions and Shared Services
• Influencing and supporting the implementation of the Technology CCO strategy
• Meeting the needs of key internal and external risk processes, reporting schedules, stakeholders and regulatory authorities in delivering assurance activities

What we’re looking for:
• Vast experience of testing experience of ITGC/Cyber/Application Controls
• Hands on experience into IS Audits / IT Assessments and GRC (Governance, Risk & Controls 
• Good understanding of programming/ database languages viz. C++, Java, COBOL, SQL
• Understanding of Software development, various testing during software development lifecycle

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Extensive knowledge of technology risk and control including relevant tools and techniques
• Depth of knowledge of key areas in technology risk, including operations, change, security, resilience at both application and infrastructure layers.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in one or more of the following fields IT audit, Risk and Control, IT security
• Relevant professional certification (CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, ISO 27001) or equivalent

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.
