Security Standards and Rigour Lead
Knutsford

As a Barclays Security Standards and Rigour Lead, you will join an exciting new venture within the Security Standards and Rigour Team. You will manage and support oversight of regulatory requirements pertaining to Global Chief Security Office policy and standards by working collaboratively with global Business Unit colleagues, clients and stakeholders. This will be the ideal role for you to showcase your exceptional experience within information and Cyber Security.

What will you be doing?
•    Leading on engagements with internal & external audit, conformance testing & other assurance activities
•    Leveraging audit findings & lessons learned to identify thematic concerns & drive systemic improvements
•    Adopting the NIST+ Framework and maturity model, driving continual improvement to increase the maturity and ability to demonstrate improved security posture
•    Supporting and continuously improving the Issue Management process
•    Monitoring compliance, managing security controls exceptions, own issues & closing gaps identified within cyber controls environment
•    Supporting regulatory relationships and engagement for SS&R in conjunction with others in the wider CISO function
•    Preparing briefing packs and tracking actions and commitments
•    Leading annual refresh of all CSO policies & standards & interim updates as required

What we’re looking for:
•    Proven experience working within the information & cyber security field, including systems audit or internal controls, that are relevant to our business & financial services
•    Influencing & negotiating skills
•    Experience of building & maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders through excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
•    Very good computer application skills, especially in MS Excel, PowerPoint   

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Practical experience of improving process & control environments in particular operational effectiveness of industry wide recognised financial frameworks
•    Practical experience of leading improvement initiatives with respect to standards, controls and key indicators
•    Relevant information risk qualifications e.g. NIST, CISA, CISSP, CISM would be beneficial 
•    Excellent academic background, educated to degree level or extensive professional experience

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
