As a Barclays Executive Social Media Manager, you will join the Investment Bank’s Marketing team, driving deepened engagement with institutional (B2B) clients globally through the integrated delivery of thought leadership content & insights. You will be supporting Barclays Investment Bank’s social media efforts through the proactive management of our executives’ LinkedIn accounts. What will you be doing?
• Providing guidance, support, and guardrails for executives regarding social media practices
• Creating and maintaining forward-facing editorial calendars for the executive social media program, with coherent content pillars for each participating executive
• Managing execution and timing of content calendar, aligning with tentpole moments and priorities, identifying engagement opportunities with 3rd party content
• Meeting with the offices of each executive to develop content, coordinate logistics on local content capture, arranging for timely reviews and approvals
• Developing an authentic voice & presence for each executive, aligning with the tone and persona of each individual, identifying opportunities for cross-promotion 
• Monitoring the social activity on executive accounts to detect and flag brand safety issues in a timely manner and advise on the appropriate response(s)
• Ensuring that all content for social meets regulatory and compliance requirements, including but not limited to, Series 24 approval, record retention and monitoring
• Harnessing data and analytics to deliver reporting on social KPIs on a regular basis to convey trends and optimization techniques for building an executive presence 


What we’re looking for:
• Prior use and daily management of social media platforms, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop) familiarity with Sprinklr and Hearsay 
• Experience with executive communications in an investment banking or financial services setting
• High degree of familiarity with the functionality of LinkedIn social media platforms, track record of successfully delivering B2B, financial services social media 
• Proven editorial curation skills to develop and maintain regular content programming for each executive, experience repackaging technical content to appeal to broader audiences 


Skills that will help you in the role:
• Up-to-date with the latest developments and experimenting with new social media marketing strategies as the landscape evolves
• Proven ability to keep on top of current events, world news and trending topics that may influence or shift our social posting strategy
• Understanding of financial services communications regulatory requirements, well-versed in the metrics of social media and how those KPIs align to commercial business metrics 
• Outstanding judgement and decision-making skills, excellent oral and written communications skills


Where will you be working?
In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
