Finance Business Architect – Hedge Accounting
London

As a Barclays Finance Business Architect - Hedge Accounting, this is a great opportunity for you to design and deliver systemic solutions to the accounting specialism of Hedge Accounting and ex-pand the existing product and Dynamic Risk Management. In your role, you will support the signifi-cant Hedge Accounting transformation programme, which fundamentally redesigns the bank’s Hedge Accounting capabilities.

What will you be doing?
•    Becoming a trusted advisor to Treasury, Finance, and technology colleagues regarding the Hedge Accounting Transformation programme
•    Driving transformation outcomes for the function, through a strategic lens
•    Identifying opportunities for improvement, develop the conversation with SMEs and chal-lenge the status quo to design a robust end to end process 
•    Training and sharing knowledge of the transformation mind-set and approach with Hedge Accounting SME team members
•    Providing guidance and support to Treasury transformation teams and business users across Treasury
•    Influencing key stakeholders at the Design Authority, Project Forums, and other project meetings
•    Working closely with Programme Managers and various Business Analysts to understand business requirements and how they translate into system, data, and process change 
•    Analysing data sources to support the creation of design proposals to drive consistency within Treasury and specifically within Hedge Accounting


What we’re looking for:
•    A demonstrable track record of at least 5 years post qualification within Treasury and Prod-uct Control, working on a variety of relevant projects
•    Knowledge of interest rate derivatives and risk drivers, with experience of Finance pro-cess, system, and technologies
•    Demonstrate a range of styles and techniques in leadership and communications, including influencing and negotiating with a broad set of stakeholders
•    Data manipulation skills including Excel and experience using data manipulation tools (e.g. Qlikview, Business Objects, Lumira, SmartView, SQL, SAS)


Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Experience of finance transformation programs and command of project management techniques and principles, and process management skills and techniques (Lean, Six Sigma)
•    Professional Accounting qualification preferred, degree level education and an excellent general academic track record
•    A continuous learning mindset, someone who applies analytical reasoning and problem solving to all they do
•    Excellent Power-point skills, with the ability to storyboard and produce best in class presentations

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as: a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
