Role Title: Finance Director – Business Performance & Analytics and Commercial Optimisation

What will you be doing:
The Private Bank and Wealth Management finance team supports four client specific business segments (Digital, Mass Affluent, Private Bank UK and Private Bank International), which spans a wide range of products across banking, lending and investments, generating £1.3bn annual income from c£200bn balances and an ambitious growth agenda.
The Finance team consists of over 100 FTE and is located across multiple sites including London, Mumbai, Chennai, Monaco, Geneva and New York.
Working in close partnership with the Private Bank and Wealth Management CEO, CFO and the executive committee to provide all PBWM commercial insight and using that insight to influence business strategy and optimise performance within a well-defined framework. Support executive committee in making optimal decisions for clients and shareholders in context of Group wide priorities and external factors.
·Possess subject matter expertise in Markets products and ability to draft and negotiate related master trading documentation for OTC derivatives, repo, reverse repo, securities lending, prime brokerage, and futures and options clearing and execution as well as related collateral documentation.
·Lead a team of legal professionals whose focus, skills, and development are trained on understanding and supporting the Markets business' wholesale product offerings and wholesale client engagement.
·Serve as a partner and trusted advisor to senior Markets business leaders in order to understand the business' priorities, identify and manage legal risk, and deliver legal work product accordingly.
·Operate with speed, pragmatism, and flexibility, especially in the context of the Markets business' areas of strategic growth.
·Understand and implement regulatory change relevant to the Markets business
·Understand multijurisdictional netting and collateral legal opinions and overlay them on the Markets business, including through engagement with Risk and Capital partners to ensure that legal documentation effectively feeds related downstream infrastructure for balance sheet and risk management.
·Lead GCS's engagement under certain business processes and partner across functional areas, particularly where there are touch-points with client onboarding teams and critical technology processes.
·Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and documentation risk controls and adhere to associated guidelines and procedures
·Identify processes that can be improved around data capture, technology and documentation
