As a Barclays Relationship Director for International banks/ Financial Institutions, you will be managing the UK booking centre for International Banks portfolio, including financial performance, Risk, and governance. You will be responsible for Identifying new corridor revenue opportunities and building a book of locally based clients on a highly selective basis. The business operates internationally with key jurisdictions being US, UK, Europe, Middle East & Asia, offering products and solutions to our global financial institutions clients.

What will you be doing?
• Developing and implementing clear client strategies for international banks by leveraging key product and service expertise in our home UK market/booking location
• Collaborating with Group partners in Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, Barclaycard, Wealth, and Barclays UK to ensure client strategy is defined and executed
• Engaging with impact and influencing at a senior level internally and within client organisations up to C-Suite level, communicate the strategy, resourcing, and execution plans for the local market
• Developing a client relationship team with deep industry sector knowledge, clear strategy and risk appetite, performance driven culture combined with a franchise culture
• Driving growth from an existing client base to gain market share in UK booking platform while cross-selling into the other booking centre, high appreciation of Capital Markets & Global Markets
• Driving client conversations by working closely with global relationship directors, transaction product sales expertise and colleagues
• Independently managing a portfolio of international banks to maintain, deepen existing relationship and to develop new business opportunities
• Developing excellent relations with the internal teams- FinCrime, Compliance, Risk, Product partners etc. and ensuring all KYC/EDD/Risk & Governance are maintained within the portfolio
What we’re looking for:
• Experience within Financial Institutions/ global banking organisation
• Good understanding of transaction banking and the risks and regulation that impact on the Banks sector
• Significant experience at senior management level in financial services organisation or equivalent with experience on an international scale and established leadership credentials
• Understanding the unique nature and dynamics of client relationship with financial institutions, who are client, counterparty and often partners
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Significant experience at senior management level in financial services organisation or equivalent with experience on an international scale and established leadership credentials
• Broad knowledge of cash management, liquidity management, debt and working capital, trade and FX products and self-sufficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Salesforce
• Knowledge of International Banks, building societies, Group affiliates, Regulated Payments and FinTech companies, Insurance companies, Specialty Finance, Private Equity and Asset Managers
