Loan Servicing – Payment Specialist 

As a Barclays Loan Servicing – Payment Specialist, you will be working within CIB Operations & Technology who are the Group wide provider of shared services for Payments and Financial Crime Operations. Within your role, you will offer support for operational escalations and payment issues from EMEA Loan Servicing whilst operating as a primary source of expertise and reference for complex and technical payment queries, as well as issues from operatives in relation to payment processing.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter. What will you be doing?
•    Verifying the work of others in ACBS/GBS/LIQ, investigating, and resolving complex cash breaks, escalating to management where appropriate
•    Assisting in the training and development of others on Subject Matter Expertise
•    Working autonomously to drive and deliver exceptional business performance through excellent leadership and performance analysis of the business areas
•    Identifying and implementing areas for cost and service improvement using own initiative  
•    Acting as a point of contact for in depth specialist support or guidance for payment related activity in EMEA Loan Servicing 
•    Supporting for operational requirements, such as releasing high value payments, performing call backs or validating SSIs
•    Providing support to the Root Cause analysis for Risk Events and management issues relating to payment activity, including system and procedural issues
•    Handling stakeholder management and reporting of performance, KRI’s and KPI’s

What we’re looking for:
•    Significant experience in financial or accountancy environment, including complex problem resolution working under own initiative
•    Proven experience in a large scale Operational environment
•    Good knowledge of and understanding of Lending and/or payment processing, including Reconciliation, ACBS, LIQ 
•    Familiarity with Workload management / capacity planning
