As a Barclays Leveraged Financial Risk Analyst, you will provide effective credit risk management of credits within North American Corporate Sectors. Supporting Leveraged Finance credit transactions from a Risk perspective, including assessing and making recommendations to ensure continued growth of the business without incurring unmanageable risks. You will stay current with financial analysis and risk profile to alert senior management to negative developments and trends.

What will you be doing?
• Maintaining integrity of credit risk function whilst ensuring that the team continues to fully support Front Office relationship and sales staff
• Preparing credit papers for transactions and reviews for submission for approval through relevant discretion processes and presenting at relevant Credit Committees
• Assisting senior team members in the preparation of Global/Regional Industry reviews
• Helping to identify adverse risks within portfolio and early engagement / referral to Special Asset Management where appropriate
• Maintaining integrity of credit risk function whilst ensuring that the team continues to fully support Front Office relationship and sales staff
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics preferred
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to provide big picture decision making
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and ideas.
• Independent problem solving skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Understanding of Loan, High Yield and derivatives documentation and credit terms is helpful but not required
• Decision making and problem solving in a complex environment
Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
