Control Automation Analyst
Northampton

As a Barclays Control Automation Analyst, you will join our Customer, Digital & Data Service and will be part of a strong and innovative team, in a rapidly expanding area of our business. It will be down to you to ensure we achieve our control automation vision and objectives.  You will do this by providing business analysis, control requirements definition and business process continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity to utilise your problem solving and change management skills.

What will you be doing?

• Using appropriate business analysis and change management techniques to work with the business and technology teams
• Ensuring that detailed analysis of requirements is conducted and signed off by the business to ensure effectiveness, relevance and accuracy
• Documenting analysis, requirements gathering, impact assessments and change requests
• Leading impact assessments of new business and tech controls and any related change requests 
• Supporting coordination of User Acceptance Testing
• Advocating for Control It, an in-house Control monitoring system. demonstrating the platform capabilities and advantages to new and existing customers
• Influencing a wide-ranging audience across front-line, back office and central support areas to gain buy-in to design requirements and development plans
• Leading and facilitating project workshops and engaging stakeholders, subject matter experts and attendees at all levels

What we’re looking for:

• Established core skills such as requirements gathering techniques and excellent knowledge of business requirement documentation and functional specifications
• Business Process Management or Quality Assurance certification such as Six Sigma
• Experience in agile project methodologies and proficiency in MS Office tools such MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication, articulation, presentation and reporting skills

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Knowledge of Terradata and Hadoop
• Technical knowledge (e.g. SQL) will be an added benefit to assist with data analysis
• Ability to use relevant tools such as JIRA, TFS and SharePoint

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
