Fraud Data Senior Manager 
Northampton

As a Barclays Fraud Data Senior Manager you’ll work with Directors and MDs to identify and control key data elements that are critical to the Fraud functions and its dependent stakeholders. You’ll focus on the UK based Fraud TC13 remit, and work in close partnership with the COO, CDO and Tech functions to create and maintain a data governance model compliant with Global Data Management Standards (“GDMS”) including measuring Data Quality, assessing impact of upstream data in Fraud use cases and Fraud data in downstream use cases.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. What will you be doing?
•    Advancing the Fraud Data strategy from the current concepts agreed with the EDC and in-line with the GDMS to report progress on strategy and provide performance metrics
•    Identifying and agreeing key goals with Fraud Leadership, creating a high standard for data sourcing, quality, and reliability that creates better Fraud outcomes 
•    Interlocking and managing data quality, outside of Fraud for Fraud processes and inside Fraud for functional partners in Risk, Finance, Front Office, Operations, etc.
•    Improving analytical capabilities to detect and prevent Fraud, creating efficiency and improving control in processing Fraud and Disputes cases
•    Enabling customer self-service and other digital interactions and improve the customer experience
•    Directing key issues and actions within the Barclays control framework to track current state gaps and future risks associated with changes in Technology or business processes
•    Educating management and executives on the Fraud Data program including key risks, costs, opportunities and their impact on Fraud business commitments and goals
•    Building key partnerships to achieve a high standard of delivery and execution

What we’re looking for:
•    Bachelor’s degree or financial experience related to Data strategy and large-scale transformations in a data-intense environment
•    Experience with managing and/or influencing teams across Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance or other functions in a multi-business financial institutions
•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•    Ability to build successful relationships

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Ability to deliver; successful track record in delivering through influence
•    Knowledge of Retail Banking, Credit Cards; in particular fraud detection, prevention, and case management
•    Experience with PowerPoint and Excel; superb verbal, written, and presentation abilities
•    Multi-tasking / manage competing deadlines within a high-pressure environment

Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
