As a Barclay’s Ops Rigour Control Lead, you will be accountable for embedment and adherence to the ERMF across Barclaycard Payments and Barclays Payments Merchant Services. You will be working within the 3LOD model to develop a culture of responsibility at all levels of the business that enables Key Risk Owners to discharge their accountability for the evaluation. You will promote and support an open and participative culture that champions proactive risk management and promote continuous improvement, championing conduct risk.

What will you be doing?
• Ensuring all Financial Crime risk and controls are effectively managed under the end to end process across Barclaycard Payments (BP) and Barclays Payments Merchant Services
• Assisting the Financial Crime control environment agenda, key areas of focus will be to lead on KYC issue management across both Onboarding and Refresh/Trigger activity
• Ensuring that there are appropriate processes in place that all colleagues follow understanding their responsibilities to maintain an effective risk and control framework
• Taking ownership for the completeness and accuracy of the ORAC control library and linage for BP and BPMS
• Ensuring the BCheck platform is maintained with all new request processed in a timely manner
• Promoting the continuous improvement to processes and the control environment and where appropriate instigate change to deliver this
• Producing and reporting into relevant governance forums and management meetings relevant risk and control MI whilst communicating with senior stakeholders
• Supporting the creation of a risk aware culture within the business unit, developing and maintaining first-class risk management processes
What we’re looking for:
• Delivered or supported delivery of a Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
• Good understanding and knowledge of operational risk and internal control principles under the three lines of defense risk management model
• Financial services experience is essential, and Payments experience preferable
• Ability to communicate complex and detailed topics to a wide variety of audiences, and articulate complex data in a simple manner
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Qualification in Operational/ Enterprise Risk, such as from the Institute for Risk Management (IRM)
• Experience of developing, implementing and operating risk management frameworks
• Analytical with the ability to interpret highly complex technical policy and regulatory requirements and translate it into practical business requirements
• In depth understanding and knowledge of operational risk and internal control principles under the three lines of defence risk management model

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
