Why the Electronic Trading Graduate Associate programme?
Barclays has a leading Electronic Trading franchise, with a high calibre team of Quants and Quant Developers supporting the business.
This programme provides an opportunity to gain practical experience within the area, undertaking tasks of real-world value to the business and its clients.
You’ll take your first steps in the challenging and fascinating world of algorithmic trading & data science. Working with a broad spectrum of colleagues, you’ll learn how data science fits into our business.
What’s more, you’ll help our team to turn mathematical and algorithmic ideas into trading reality by:
·Learning to use statistical models and algorithmic coding in practice
·Testing practical machine learning techniques
·Researching and implementing new models
·Expanding our computational platform by helping solve complex software development problems.

Who we're looking for
To be considered for this programme, you must have completed or be in the final year of a postgraduate qualification, Masters or higher, in a technical discipline such as Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Financial Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or other STEM subjects.
Additionally, applicants should have strong programming skills, in Java, C++ or Python.
