Business Analyst - Credit Risk
As a Barclays Business Analyst you will analyse changes in output measures, attributing that change to a specific functional point and obtaining consensus with business users the appropriateness of that change. The Credit Risk Engine uses advanced Monte Carlo techniques to calculate Potential Future Exposure, Expected Exposure at a portfolio level for all trading activity across derivatives and security financing, incorporating the benefit of netting and collateral.

What will you be doing?
• Reviewing the impact of proposed changes on business areas and processes
• Assisting in the preparation and execution of User Testing including Impact Analysis
• You will identify/anticipate obstacles and analyse and propose resolutions
• Acting as the bridge between the business, IT and other businesses
• Providing go-live and post implementation support
• Developing and delivering user procedures and training
• You will adopt and evolve the agile approach
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in an Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Scientific discipline
• Strong analytical skills, methodical approach with good attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous Credit risk business domain knowledge
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Ability to use own initiative to resolve issues/ investigate and find solutions
• Ability to use Excel for data analysis spotting patterns and exceptions in large data sets
• Experience of using SQL for data extraction
• Ability to assimilate information quickly and make informed decisions
Where will you be working?
Our Prague office is based in the financial centre of Prague. We are part of the Operations and Technology Division, and as such, we try our best to stay at the top of our technological game. However, the technology itself is not the most important thing.
