FX Release Manager
As a Barclays FX Release Manager you’ll be an important member of our team. You’ll manage, coordinate, maintain, support and automate the release processes. You’ll have the opportunity to work across source code management, deployment mechanisms and infrastructure for the BATS FX platform.

What will you be doing?
• Planning and scheduling BATS FX release activities, including raising and coordination of all change requests and associated documentation
• Preparing and having oversight of the implementation plans, pulling together the resources required to undertake the implementation activities
• Reviewing change requests to assess the impact to the applications from external sources
• Ensuring adherence to the bank’s change policies and SLA of the wider team
• Ensuring the maintenance and automation of the tools used to support the release and deployment processes
• Ensuring common code changes are reviewed by all interested parties prior to release
• Carrying out day to day reviews of audit reports for the identification of deployment anomalies
What we’re looking for:
• 5+ years release, configuration or environment management within the IT domain on Unix and Windows platforms
• 3+ years Unix scripting language user experience (python, perl, bash etc.)
• Good knowledge of standard development and build tools(GIT, TeamCity etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Self-motivated and resourceful. Confident and able to work alone as effectively as in a team
• A team player who takes initiative and can influence the development of the system
• Can multi-task effectively when required, but also able to identify scheduling conflicts and communicate these confidently
• Enthusiasm to learn and absorb business processes and IT technologies
Where will you be working?
Our Prague office is based in the financial centre of Prague. We are part of the Operations and Technology Division, and as such, we try our best to stay at the top of our technological game. However, the technology itself is not the most important thing. What matters the most to us is the way our ingenuity can help provide better service to our customers and make life easier for our employees.
