Job Title: Lead Java Developer
The Risk, Finance and Treasury Technology team (RFT) comprises 3500 colleagues situated in the major hubs of United Kingdom, United States, India and Czech Republic. We are accountable for the delivery of technology for Risk, Finance and Treasury Functions globally, working in partnership with our Business customers to develop and implement long term strategic IT solutions. We support more than 450 applications and a user base of 7000+ staff across all business units and major geographic hubs, enabling them to effectively manage capital and liquidity, assess internal and external risk metrics, and meet regulatory reporting requirements.
Data Fabric, Analytics & Reporting own the data layer to support RFT, incorporating a streamlined analytics capability together with a central reporting utility. Services responsible for capturing, transforming, sharing and distributing data and information to our Technology and business stakeholders will be a central mission of this new team.
The main function of the job is to act as a senior developer/architect. You will work closely with other team members in London, New York and Pune. You will continue to contribute to all parts of the development process, participating in technical designs and user story analysis. The prospective candidate will get also exposure to many business deliverable projects in the Risk visualization pipelines, focus on build out of a new strategic Front Office trading tools and migration of risk systems and Regulatory deliverables
What will you be doing?
·Analysis, Estimating and Prioritisation of tasks
·Working with trading desk, finance and Operations to build high perform business critical risk analytic and trading tool.
·Working with risk/finance/Treasury and compliance personnel to gather and refine business requirements
·Perform technical assessments of requirements received, solution design and effort estimation
·Perform technical design and data modelling base on functional requirements
·Design/development of important service orchestration layer to integrate state-of-the-art caching technologies and Hadoop eco-systems
·Evaluate new technologies in the Market and conduct technical POC
·Build/test the approved design and creation of release notes for implementation into production in accordance with the Agile best practices
·Perform user training and production support for live systems.
What we’re looking for:
·Extensive experience of development of Java server side technologies including web technologies on Linux/Unix environments (JBOSS or Weblogic etc)
·In depth knowledge of Multi-threaded, high throughput, low-latency design of Java service components.
·Experience working with one of the industrial messaging technology platforms (Kafka, flume, Solace, TIBEMS, or MQ etc)
·Experience with Pl/SQL and Oracle or other commercial database.
