Senior Software Developer Analyst
As a Barclays Senior Software Developer Analyst, you will actively contribute to various projects spanning across critical technical deliveries, regulatory projects and platform enhancements requested by the product owner or business users. With a heavy emphasis on both technical and communication skills, you will be working closely with the Developers, Business Analysts, Architects and Project Managers across all regions.

What will you be doing?
• Analysing new requirements to find the most appropriate technical solutions and contribute to the overall system design
• Taking responsibility and ownership of new feature development
• Documenting designs and communicating them with the team(s)
• Working on all aspects of analysis, design, implementation and deployment of all software, related to the core data applications
• Focussing on good code quality and high test coverage and actively participating in code reviews
• Designing and implementing applications and data flows, for accuracy, timeliness, quality and control
What we’re looking for:
• Experience of database technologies to cloud (MSSQL, AWS, Snowflake, Redshift or other)
• Experience of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) using development and Agile tools e.g. JIRA, Git, TeamCity and Agile Central
• Familiarity with .NET/ C#/ SQL or other database query language
• Knowledge of Business Analysis, Data mining, Academic research, or Machine Learning/ AI data/ Computational analysis
Skills that will help you in the role:
• We work primarily with R but will also consider applications from candidates with experience using alternative statistical programming languages like Python or SAS etc.
• Some background and knowledge of Finance and Risk management will be highly valuable (CFA, FRM and alike is a plus)
• Knowledge of DevOps, source control, unit and integration testing, continuous integration, release management, and other software development practices

Our Prague office is based in the financial centre of Prague. We are part of the Operations and Technology Division, and as such, we try our best to stay at the top of our technological game. However, the technology itself is not the most important thing.
