Symphony Bot Architect
Prague
As a Barclays Symphony Bot Architect you will be part of Web Portal services team, building an enterprise scale web portal supporting over 500,000 colleagues and customers. You will be responsible for architecting, building and maintaining bot framework, develop business workflow bots, integrate with fin tech technologies like Symphony/Open Fin. You will be showing your leadership skills as you will be accountable for the mentoring and coaching of developers and developing their technical skills

What will you be doing?
• Focusing on Bot development, internet protocols, Portal technologies, API development, Data Persistence, Performance, Security, UI Development
• Architecting and developing Bot framework to enable application Barclays teams to solve business problems, developing Symphony Bots used across Barclays
• Designing and implementing highly scalable and reliable mobile applications and Java EE web architectures and both front end and back end web technologies
• Applying Industry Standard Design Patterns for web application development
• Building and fostering a high performing development team providing them development opportunities
• Managing the Barclays Live portal Oracle database and help to define a forward looking strategy for it
• Providing timely and accurate estimations, performing in-depth research and assessment of emerging technologies in their field and define practical applications for our products.
• Interacting with Fin Tech vendors to assess business needs
What we’re looking for:
• Professional experience in Bot development preferably RASA, Microsoft Bot Framework , Dialogflow or Watson, proficiency in Java or Python, API development and experience in Continuous Integration (Jenkins, Team City)
• Intermediate experience with Scripting and Shell programming in Linux, React or Angular and working knowledge of Mongo, Dynamo DB and Oracle Database
• Working Experience in message Broker Technologies like Rabbit MQ, Kafka and in unit testing frameworks like Selenium, Junit and JMeter
• Working knowledge of Internet Protocols, building application with Performance, Scalability & Security in mind
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Fin Tech Expertise e.g. Symphony /Open Fin/MS Teams
• Basic understanding of aPaaS/Docker based applications.
• Working Knowledge of AWS technology
• Experience in the investment banking will be a plus.
