Hybrid Working 

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:

As an AVP of Market Data Controls for the RIS team, the key expectations are :-
•    ensure the Market Data function is compliant with all Regulatory requirements, TS policy and procedures in terms of both timeliness as well as accuracy
•    market data activities / controls are adhering to required completion timelines
•    ownership of implementation of all proposed Risk Controls like the RCSA in a timely manner in the entire market data space
•    being an SME and take E2E ownership of market data related processes, queries, controls, documentation and reviews
•    ownership of the quality of the control checks on the processes 
•    monitor, escalate any production gaps or control issues to the Management

What will you be doing?

•    good understanding of the time series policy and procedures
•    being an SME and take E2E ownership of market data related processes, queries, controls, documentation and reviews
•    monitor, escalate any production gaps (control issues, system issues) to the management team or IT
•    provide guidance and work with business lines to ensure all the required market data activities, controls, documentation and reviews are completed timely and inline with time series policy and procedures
•    periodic reviews if the existing controls and documentation require any changes
•    to work closely with a variety of stakeholders including front-line desk risk management, Audit, Conformance, RIS team globally, IT etc to improve the market data environment and processes
•    MI reportings of Market Data controls
•    to provide business requirements for any new development or fixes or improvements to the IT teams and to sign off test results.
•    provide assistance to business line team where capacity permits if there is any business line capacity issue


What we’re looking for:

•    Bachelor/Post Grad’s degree in an analytical area from a reputed Tier 1 institution is required. Candidate must have an analytical/quantitative bent of mind.
•    Good knowledge of Risk, especially Market Risk concepts and methodologies
•    Strong control mindsets and executions of controls
•    Highly motivated, energetic individual with a strong process engineering and quality control focus. 
•    Experience in building, managing, and improving processes and controls.
•    Prior experience in the Market Data is preferable
•    Deep knowledge of Risk Measures, sensitivity-computation methodologies would be an advantage.
•    Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
•    Proficient in the use of IT Systems; ability to quickly come up the curve on in-house systems.
•    Comfortable liaising with the department’s wide range of business partners that span globally, 
•    Depth in People Management 
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Team player and lead - willing to take on incremental responsibilities.
•    Ability to cope with change and very tight deadlines


Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Bachelor/ Post grad Degree with some quantitative subjects
•    Candidate must have a control & analytical/quantitative bent of mind.
•    Strong control mindsets and executions of controls
•    Highly motivated, energetic individual with a strong process engineering and quality control focus. 
•    Experience in building, managing, and improving processes and controls.
•    Excellent team player with the ability to guide and also work independently
•    Exceptional analytical abilities including interpretation of large data sets is required
•    Self-motivated, takes ownership of responsibilities assigned to him/her and working towards closure of issues
•    Ability to deal with senior stake holders across different time zones
•    Good knowledge of Market Risk concepts and methodologies with an emphasis on Respective Asset Class Products
•    Working knowledge of Market Data vendors (BBG, Reuters etc) is preferred
•    Strong understanding of Market Risk IT application 
•    3-4 yrs experience in Market Data (Time series) will be preferred 

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
•    Masters Degree in a quantitative discipline ( Financial Engineering, Financial-Math) is preferable
•    Proficient in programming languages - Excel VBA, SQL, Python 
•    Ability to take ownership of additional responsibilities including be the spoc from a RIS perspective in transitioning key projects , and process improvements.
