Decision Analyst
Flexible UK location

As a Barclays Decision Analyst, you’ll act as an advisor and business partner with senior stakeholders to identify, evaluate and frame opportunities and risks in order to understand and prioritise work across Data & Analytics. You’ll deliver end-to-end data, reporting and solutions to drive decision making across multiple products, have the responsibility to understand how our Affordability processes work and in turn identify and mitigate risks in those customer journeys.

What will you be doing?
• Maintain and develop tools to quantify risks to Retail Lending businesses and support audit requirement
• Support commercial business with analytical capability to investigate Incidents, provide analysis and insight to assist with recommending required actions
• Engage with source system subject matter experts to understand the detail of impacted processes and translate that understanding to a view of customer impact
• Check data sources and process to confirm no further issues exist and system and data processes are functioning correctly
• Identify performance trends, customer behaviours and commercial opportunities and risks through application of quantitative skills
• Undertake analysis to understand customer behaviour, product and financial performance to then help to maximise product performance, and drive key strategic initiatives with colleagues
• Through extensive understanding of SAS and/ or SQL in particular, provide guidance to other team members on all aspects of coding, including efficiency and effectiveness 
• Communicate the findings of checks in meetings with senior stakeholders and in visually-compelling reports or presentations

What we’re looking for:
• Experience in creating business models, both financial and consumer behavioural
• Experience in using innovative customer analysis to identify commercial opportunities 
• Intermediate to advanced experience of programming in SAS & SQL, and in additional computer languages (e.g. R, Python)
• Good understanding of data warehouse and MI environments and practises

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience and understanding of statistical analysis techniques desirable
• Practical experience and understanding of creating customer segmentation models, and running customer targeting
