What will you be doing?
• On behalf of a global financial services organization, design, develop, test, and maintain organization’s mobile Android application using the Android SDK (Software Development Kit) and Android Architecture comprising of Activities, Fragments, Intents and Services.
• Responsible for developing high-volume Mobile Service application using Java 1.8, J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) Framework, RESTful Web Services and Spring framework.
• Design, develop and code scripts using testing frameworks like Junit and Robolectric to perform unit, integration and Instrumentation testing.
• Support continuous integration by building and deploying the Android and Mobile Service application into Production and Quality Assurance environments using tools such as GIT, Maven and Jenkins.
• Maintain the software quality in Quality Assurance and production environments by identifying the root cause for a problem reported using Appdynamics and Kibana applications.
• Introduce fixes for the root cause of failures and add test cases to cover the failure scenarios.
• Employ Agile techniques such as task estimation, test automation, deployment automation and continuous integration to enhance execution, speed and product quality.
• Provide technical support to business analysts and project managers in building complex software for new or enhanced mobile applications.
• Help product owners with project management using JIRA software and creating ‘Epics’, ‘User Stories’ and ‘Tasks’ for business requirements in JIRA.
What we’re looking for:
Requires Master of Science (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or closely related field plus six (6) years of experience in the position offered or as a Software Developer, Application Developer or related position. At least six (6) years of experience must include: Java, J2EE, Spring, Maven, RESTful Webservices and design patterns Singleton and Façade to build applications and deploy service APIs; Jenkins automation server to facilitate integration and delivery; Junit framework to define and build test cases ; GIT version control system for software development; Agile practices including iterative development, daily standups, creating product backlog and defining Sprint goals; Operating Systems, including memory management, process management, device management and security to design and build applications; Simple and complex data structures and optimal algorithms while designing and developing solutions.
