Vice President Operations Product Governance
Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays VP Operations Product Governance, you will have the opportunity to manage the Operations Product Governance US processes overseeing Corporate and Investment Bank. You will own the due diligence, risk assessments, and approvals of product changes through the New and Amended Product Approval and Product Design & Review process.

What will you be doing?

•    Managing the risk assessment process across the New and Amended Product Approval and Product Design & Review
•    Providing appropriate challenge to the SMEs, Stakeholders and ensuring full due diligence has been completed and all identified risk has been appropriately mitigated
•    Approving proposals in the New and Amended Product Approval system in a diligent manner
•    Defining the strategy for the continued development and enhancement of the Operations Product Governance offering
•    Taking a lead role with other regional leads to define the strategy for the continued development and enhancement of the offering Operations Product Governance (OPG)
•    Contributing to the overall Risk Management Framework, control standards and initiatives to further embed the OPG team offering within that team 
•    Raising awareness of the team offering, embedding an OPG risk assessment culture & awareness through regular engagement with key stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

•    Excellent interpersonal skills, proven history of relationship building and stakeholder management
•    Experience in supporting senior stakeholders
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at different levels across the organisation
•    Analytical and logical approach to problem solving and risk assessment

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    High level of knowledge about the trade lifecycle and operational functions
•    Understanding of Trade Management, Reporting, Confirmations, Collateral & Portfolio Management, Client Valuations, Settlement & Asset Servicing, Reference Data
•    High level of knowledge & experience of Capital Markets Products
