Job description

Assistant Vice President – Fraud Risk Management  

Wilmington, DE

As a Barclays Assistant Vice President of Fraud Risk Management, you will be responsible for supporting, developing and optimizing strategic initiatives, with the overall goal of balancing fraud prevention while maintaining a good customer experience. You will accomplish this by ensuring compliance of fraud policies, standards and governance controls related to the strategic initiatives development, while engaging and interacting with Vendors to assess and manage new/existing fraud detection tools.

What will you be doing?                

  • Developing strategic initiatives across all fraud types that balances fraud prevention while balancing customer experience.
  • Interacting with internal/external stakeholders on the strategic initiatives execution across different fraud detection systems
  • Accessing new vendor models/tools, evaluating performance, and working with external stakeholders on the new vendor model onboarding
  • Developing new processes and enhancements, generating monitoring reports on the strategic initiatives to improve fraud detection and management
  • Communicating proposed strategic initiatives and for delivering appropriate reporting and MI to relevant business stakeholders
  • Updating Senior Management on strategic initiatives and interacting with external stakeholders representing Fraud Analytics on new vendor models

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field, with proven experience in Fraud Risk management
  • Proven programming experience in SQL/SAS/Unix/Oracle programming
  • Proven experience in performing data and statistical analysis for strategy development and management under risk management function

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Credit card experience strongly preferred especially in risk management function
  • Experience in Fraud detection across different fraud types preferred, but not required
  • Masters or Higher degree in Quantitative discipline preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, technical skills in SAS/SQL and statistical skills with proven ability to process vast amounts of data into meaningful information
