Collections Strategy Analyst
As a Barclays Collections Strategy Analyst this is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for developing strategies and monitoring performance as we onboard new partners and products. This is a rewarding opportunity to work cross-functionally, review contractual obligations, customer profiles, product characteristics, and other considerations to ensure we have adequate staffing and contingency plans in place for conversion of back book portfolios to Barclays.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in.

What will you be doing?
• Developing short-term and long-term collections and recovery strategies for new partnerships prior to launch or conversion
• Leveraging Barclays’ data and collections expertise to identify the best strategies, or where new strategies will be needed
• Working cross-functionally to ensure that deal profit & loss assumptions for collection & recovery performance are grounded and attainable
• Identifying risks unique to each new partner or product, focusing on necessary mitigation steps
• Sharing evaluation of risks & opportunities, along with tactical plans to address, with team leadership
• Improving performance & monitoring plans for new partners and products, ensuring escalation points and contingency plans that are grounded in data & analytics
• Contributing and supporting the development of a “playbook” for future conversions and launches
What we’re looking for:
• Collections and/or Recovery Strategy experience in the consumer lending space; Experience and knowledge of the Credit Card space is preferred
• Understanding of SAS, SQL, R, Python, or similar analytical tools
• Experience managing large, complex analytical projects and presenting to senior leadership
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Significant Experience and understanding with Co-brand and/or private label credit card portfolios
• Experience with Consumer Installment Loan or Unsecured Lending portfolios
• Understanding of laws, rules and regulations related to Collections
