Portfolio Insights Analyst

As a Barclays Portfolio Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating trends across all US Consumer Bank products. This is a rewarding opportunity to frame complex insights for presentation to senior leaders and to drive Barclays’ business goals. Your role is critical to support of US Consumer Bank acquisitions, including high risk account management, portfolio risk analytics, internal forecasting, as well as analytics to drive and support expansionary initiatives.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in.

What will you be doing?

•    Executing and managing a suite of portfolio insight reporting while monitoring trends with a focus on proving the “why” behind inconsistencies
•    Developing, maintaining, and adjusting segmentations based on a combination of metrics and attributes with the purpose of enhancing reporting
•    Understanding and explaining the relationship between metrics (spend & balances) and the bottom-line impacts when events and trends occur
•    Facilitating stakeholder and regulatory requests
•    Working within several analytical and data environments including AWS, Tableau and SAS
•    Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify new opportunities for profitable portfolio growth

What we’re looking for:

•    Four-year college degree required; quantitative disciplines preferred; master’s degree preferred
•    Over five years of analytical experience in financial services industry; credit card experience preferred
•    Over two years of experience with SAS/SQL or other relevant statistical tools 

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Previous financial services experience
•    Extensive knowledge and understanding of SAS, Excel and Tableau
•    High-level communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, in both written and verbal form

Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
