As a Barclays Vice President - Pricing & Terms this is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for leading the monitoring and development of pricing, repricing and fee strategies leveraging good benchmarking, credit bureau data, application data, alternative data, partner data and other new data sources for credit card and deposit products.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
• Supporting and handling team of analysts to monitor portfolio and acquisition strategy pricing trends
• Developing insights about internal trends by product, risk band, as well as developing insights about participant comparisons
• Building strategies and programs to improve the pricing and terms structure for new account acquisition offers and existing customer accounts across credit card and deposit products
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (business strategy, 2nd Line Risk, Legal and Compliance, Technology) to gain organizational alignment and effective execution
• Ensuring we are setting pricing and terms commensurate with the risk of the account and market dynamics
• Analysing changes in strategies’ performance and ensuring they are in line current market positioning
• Overseeing and monitoring the implementation of pricing programs
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in an analytical /statistical discipline is required (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research or related quantitative)
• Significant years of analytical experience in financial services industry
• Solid understanding of financial profit and loss (P&L) constructs, particular P&L components and their interactions, cash flows and NPV
• Experience and understanding in developing pricing strategies for credit card and deposit products
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Master's degree in analytical /statistical discipline is preferred (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research or related quantitative)
• Experience and understanding of Marketing optimization, risk strategy or model development
