Start your new and exciting journey at Barclays. We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Risk Analyst specialising in unsecured consumer lending management to join our dynamic team. The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will utilise advanced analytical techniques, statistical models, and industry knowledge to develop and enhance credit risk strategies, ensuring the profitability and stability of our credit card business. Your Part * Providing best in class analytics, transforming high level requests into focussed and specific analysis * Responsible for supporting the unsecured consumer credit product offering (e.g. credit cards or unsecured loans) * Identifying new opportunities for enhancing/streamlining services * Formulating opportunities into proposals, sharing with manager and implementing * Maintenance of credit criteria, models and strategies * Maintenance of control monitoring and documentation of processes, procedures and strategies in relation to credit management * Working effectively with peers and management team to achieve shared business objectives * Preparing and presenting regular reports on credit risk metrics to senior management and driving stakeholder discussions. * Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams, providing insights and recommendations based on risk analysis What you’re made of * Experience in consumer banking industry (ideally in Germany) with respect to credit risk management (e.g. for unsecured loans or credit cards) * A degree/diploma or equivalent in an analytical/quantitative/business related discipline * Strong understanding of credit risk models, scorecards, and regulatory requirements. * Strong knowledge of statistics and statistical methods /modelling techniques * Proficiency in SAS or equivalent data analysis and statistical tool (R, Python) * SQL programming skills on an advanced user level * Lateral thinking - find innovative ways to solve analytical problems * Business assessment - ability to quickly build an understanding of a business and its core strengths and opportunities * Strong interpersonal skills, influencing, and conflict management * Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to translate insight into a coherent story that drives action * Team working - commitment and ability to work with cross-functional teams What you can expect at Barclays: * A competitive base salary * A flexible budget to use at your discretion (payments to employee savings schemes and other solutions) * Significant employer contributions into a company pension scheme * Company sports and fitness activities at special rates * Bonuses on special occasions * Up to 8 free tickets per season for the Barclays Arena * 30 days leave (for a 5-day week) * 2 work days available for community involvement, charity work or social outreach What Barclays is all about People are at the heart of everything we do at Barclays — both our customers and our employees.
