What will you be doing:


This role is responsible for supporting the BUK Controller and BUK CFO in discharging their duties through the provision of consistent and coordinated reporting of BUK performance across the Barclays Group, incorporating both actual financial performance and forward-looking forecasts of performance. This is a senior role operating at the heart of the BUK business providing support and challenge to the BUK businesses and as such it has widespread exposure, is fast paced and highly commercial in nature. This will also involve working across a number of different departmental teams, including Finance, Investor relations, Treasury and Risk as well as the Business.

Key Accountabilities


•    Strategic partner to the BUK CFO and Controller with the ability to develop deep strategic and commercial insights that ensure BUK Finance are 'joining the dots' between actuals, trading performance, outlook, and plan; being the go-to person across all financial planning and analysis for BUK.
•    Lead BUK quarterly external reporting, working with Investor Relations, Group, Financial Control, and other FTC teams to deliver accurate and insightful external messaging and strategic support. 
•    Lead BUK Board reporting across BBUK and Group deliverables, ensuring appropriate, insightful, and consistent messaging. 
•    Lead BUK independent strategy development to improve business performance and deliver value for shareholders through the cycle. 
•    Lead and Drive activities to seamlessly partner the BUK CFO and Controller with the E2E strategic financial management, analysis, planning and reporting of BUK performance, in addition to overseeing all Board, external and regulatory matters, delivering key insights and leading through the various processes.
•    Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to develop talent within the team, actively stretching and constructively challenging colleagues to build technical and softer skills.
