As a Barclays Europe Cash Lawyer, you will mainly be assisting in the Cash Management legal in relation to Barclays Bank International / EU cash management work. This will be a mix of providing regulatory advice, transactional assistance, and product management. You will also be involved in helping in the Legal Iberia, European business re-organisation programmes, and European wide regulatory change programmes. If possible, please submit your CV in English.

What will you be doing?
•    Ensuring adherence to Laws, Rules, and Regulations (LRRs) and internal policy, escalat-ing risks and breaches where relevant
•    Providing advice on transactions and helping with the day to day corporate banking ac-tivity
•    Assisting with regulatory change/regulatory review initiatives/projects
•    Working on product development / product maintenance workstreams
•    Helping colleagues in (i) Cash Management/Corporate Banking legal, (ii) Iberia/European Country Coverage legal, and (iii) colleagues in other legal teams
•    Providing assistance and guidance for Coverage business teams as well as other horizontals

What we’re looking for:
•    Spanish law qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with an academic record, or equivalent expertise
•    Experience with relevant financial services products and applicable regulations, in particular cash management and liquidity products
•    Experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and acting as a strategic advisor

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    In-house experience within financial services

Dating from 1979, Barclays has a long-established presence in Spain. Today, from our office in Madrid we provide a full service Corporate and Investment Bank offering to our local and global clients. Located within 10 minutes of the nearest train station ,Gregorio Marañón, our office is well positioned within the financial district of Madrid.
