As a Barclays Head of Credit and Data Analytics Governance and Controls, you will be responsible for Governance and Control areas across Credit and Data Analytics (CDA) and be the point of contact for Regulatory, Internal Audit and other internal audit/reviews bodies that oversee CDA. This is a First Line of Defense role, and you will be responsible for a total of 8 Full-Time Employees. You will also ensure the effective development and execution of a sound risk and control agenda that is consistent with regulatory and Barclays’ expectations.

What will you be doing?

•    Leading the control agenda and collaborating with the Chief Control Office, 2nd Line Credit Risk and other teams to manage risk appetite and risk management framework  
•    Developing a culture of responsibility/ accountability for a quality control environment with improved transparency, project disciplines and execution-focused delivery
•    Leading internal and external examinations of the CDA team to prepare for the examination, provide relevant documentation and guide the examination
•    Collaborating with Technology to drive improvement program of the reporting & tracking functionality related to controls and issue management with regulatory and policy overlay
•    Executing thematic reviews and develop action plans when root cause analysis shows broader or reoccurring issues 
•    Maintaining accurate data within ORAC (Risk reporting system) for CDA items; perform ORAC Data Integrity checks to identify any exceptions for CDA items
•    Governing Mandates and Scales activities: monthly business monitoring (forecast vs actuals), quarterly refreshes of the forecast and governing the yearly forecasting process
•    Executing the Credit Review Forum, inclusive of creation of the forum pack and all associated activities to ensure effective and efficient results

What we’re looking for:

•    Control process subject matter expertise in the credit card industry or comparable financial industry programs experience
•    Proven track record of developing strategic programs to improve control environments
•    Proven knowledge and experience with risk and control assessments; issues management and remediation of control gaps is required
•    Highly organized and structured; ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and relentless focus on achievement of deadlines

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Bachelor’s degree
•    Significant experience in financial services
•    Significant risk and control management experience
