WIN

Wins mission is to engage all genders across the organisation to attract, develop, promote and retain cis and trans women at all levels of our organisation.

Win partners with our sister ERGs to drive diversity & inclusion and eliminate power imbalances, discrimination and inequality.

Win creates spaces to drive role model behaviour; where men can share opportunities, celebrate accomplishments and offer sponsorship & visibility.

Our Strategy

As part of the new global Employee Resource Group strategy, the key focus for our ERG is to champion the benefits of diversity at Barclays, whilst sharing the lived experiences and nuances of our diverse colleagues at Barclays. As we sharpen the focus on Diversity at Barclays, the ERG strategy will focus on four main pillars (Attract, Retain, Develop and Engage).

Attract

Internal and external engagement – Providing greater support to the Barclays DEI recruitment to identify and engage a diverse pool of candidates:

  • Growing the talent pipeline by attracting cis and trans women and plus-gendered candidates to the recruitment process.
  • Manage campaigns and outreaching programmes and promoting/publishing initiatives to our members through, email, quarterly magazine or interactive Win Site.
  • Raise awareness of women’s health issues by building campaigns, initiatives and partnership opportunities with in-house and external groups.

Retain

Building a great and diverse place to work:

  • Close the retention gap by supporting all women, trans or cis, and plus-gendered colleagues as they progress through their career.
  • Driving role model behaviour by promoting allyship; taking action to raise awareness and facilitate gender equality discussions.

Engage

Connect with business leads to explore collaboration opportunities:

  • Create interlinks with business areas to promote the colleague voice.
  • Foster collaboration between ERGs and engage Barclays’ businesses to drive the gender agenda alongside Barclays’ citizenship initiatives more broadly.
  • Encouraging colleagues to participate in Barclay’s citizenship and shared growth agendas via charity and third-party network partnerships.
  • Build a taskforce that works closely with the business’ Social agenda to make Barclays synonymous with supporting women.

Develop

Developing colleagues with multiple dimensions of difference – Foster a diverse and inclusive environment to ensure members reach their career goals while contributing to Barclays’ DEI objectives:

  • Empower and celebrate the contribution of intersectional colleagues at Barclays and provide personal & professional development opportunities.
  • Support Junior colleagues development through mentoring and training.
  • Building a sustainable campaign to affect positive, lasting change to the way we and the Business talk about violence towards women.
