HR Business Partner / People Advisory Partner ( Temporary - 6 months)

Overall purpose of role

In the capacity of a regional HR Generalist, the role will include executing the human capital strategy and initiatives for each business, delivering the relevant HR processes and providing day to day HR support to the regional population. In addition, this role will encompass the delivery of day to day HR support for these businesses and supporting some of the administrative processes as well as ER cases as they occur. The HR Business Partner will work with a global, high energy client group which will require strong stakeholder management at senior levels.The role requires proven ability to influence, coach and constructively challenge the clients. 

Core accountabilities

Strategic Partnership (60%)

  • Apply HR expertise and commercial understanding to partner the business leadership. Interpret the BU/Functional areas’ plans, diagnose the people implications and translate that into a clear people plan.
  • Provide trusted and expert advice and support on a range of HR issues such as reward, employee relations, talent, performance, organisation development/change, culture, organisation design, leadership and learning and development.
  • Coach and support business leaders on employee engagement and motivation.
  • Drive the talent plan for the business to build sustainable people capability.
  • Support the business leadership to build a performance culture, aligned to the Group Behaviours and Values.
  • Partner with HR operational and specialist colleagues to deliver a seamless HR service to the business.
  • Provide advice and guidance to leaders on the effective management of change and lead the associated HR actions and plans

Operational Agenda (30%)

  • Ensure that the HR operational service is delivered successfully to the business. In particular:
    • core HR processes
    • the annual compensation process

Governance and Risk Management (10%)

  • Ensure all people processes meet risk and governance requirements and align fully with Group Values and Behaviours.
  • Ensure that business leaders advocate and lead by the Barclays Values.

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
