Business Manager - Prime
London

As a Barclays Business Manager working in Prime Markets, you will be supporting Prime Sales and Trading in the EMEA. The function is broad ranging and you will be involved on a daily basis collaborating with the Business covering business strategy, cost management, risk and control, regulatory change and resource management. You will provide constant liaison with, and be the link between Sales, Trading, IT, Finance, Risk, Operations, Legal and Compliance.

What will you be doing?
•    Collaborating with sales and trading to articulate business strategy, objectives, and planning, including analysis of volumes, clients, markets and competitive analysis
•    Representing the Prime business internally and acting as a central contact for firm, regulatory, and other key initiatives
•    Being responsible for driving efficient front to back coordination to ensure business continuity 
•    Supporting drive business strategy through implementation of new products, change initiatives and control agenda 
•    Collaborating with IT and the trading desks on business growth initiatives and participating in regulatory initiatives and working groups
•    Partnering closely with technology and MCE partners on delivery of material growth initiatives 
•    Being responsible for representing and responding to product Audits, Conformance and Monitoring and Testing Reviews (Compliance)
•    Engaging with infrastructure partners to ensure close connectivity and coordination across the business


What we’re looking for:
•    A university degree coupled with a number of years related work experience
•    Wide understanding of Excel and PowerPoint with excellent communication skills – both presentation and conversational and a high attention to detail 
•    Project management skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast paced environment along with knowledge of operational flows and key control points 
•    Self-motivated and the ability to act autonomously and excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills


Skills that will help you in the role:
•    The ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, credibility and gravitas and build relationships with traders, desk heads, and infrastructure leads
•    The ability to influence and negotiate across all areas and levels of the organisation 
•    A knowledge of Fixed Income products and/or financing concepts and a familiarity with the financial regulatory landscape 
•    Ability to work to tight deadlines, delivering on time and to a high standard and the desire to help drive the agenda
