As a Barclays Vice President Americas Chief Compliance Office, you will be assisting the Director and working closely alongside other team members in assisting the Americas CCO on a broad portfolio of strategic and risk management governance responsibilities across Barclays IHC/CUSO and the wider department. The team is a multi-disciplinary unit that is accountable for oversight and governance activities that support leadership in the Americas Compliance Department. 

Salary/ Rate Minimum: $145,000
Salary/ Rate Maximum: $192,000

What will you be doing?

•    Supporting an effective approach to governance and oversight within Americas Compliance, including through the development of quality MI and governance materials
•    Assisting in the preparation of high quality briefing materials for internal and external meetings
•    Developing a solid grasp of and track ongoing and emerging matters as well as material regulatory developments
•    Coordinating with key internal stakeholders to help “join the dots” for reporting purposes 
•    Coordinating, owning, and embedding principles for reporting, acting as a quality assurance check prior to submission to the Americas CCO
•    Assisting in the coordination and execution of the Americas Compliance strategy as defined by the Americas CCO
•    Ensuring that regional requirements are taken into account for global Compliance governance activities
•    Helping in the management and coordination of US regulatory exams and audits impacting Compliance and Financial Crime, engaging with Business, Operations, etc

What we’re looking for:

•    Demonstrable competencies and experience in the Compliance department of an investment bank or other comparable/relevant environment
•    Experience in a Compliance product advisory or Financial Crime role advantageous and a Bachelor’s degree level educated within a relevant field 
•    Knowledge and understanding of relevant US regulatory requirements, including broker-dealer and financial crime requirements
•    Ability to multi-task in a fast-packed environment, writing skills, proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
