Investment Banking Governance and Controls Vice President
New York, NY

As a Barclays Investment Banking Governance and Controls Vice President (VP), you will be aligned to a designated portfolio of Business, Functions or Horizontals to provide input, guidance, and risk management expertise across the Controls environment. You will act and lead as the point of coordination and syndication of all Control Services, ensuring consistency and quality delivery of the Controls Strategy, Control Frameworks, improvement initiatives and capabilities across each Business, Functions or Horizontals.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $145,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $199,000

What will you be doing?

• Producing Senior Management level reporting and dashboards to support CEO monthly and quarterly reporting
• Providing oversight, guidance and support relating to issues management in respect of risk and control issues including quality and adherence to SLAs 
• Ensuring governance frameworks are implemented and managed effectively across aligned businesses, functions, and horizontals
• Providing advice, education and awareness relating to issues management as part of continuous improvement and enhanced service framework
• Driving improved and sustainable controls culture through use of data led relevant indicators to ensure Control Forums are insightful and conversations risk focused
• Monitoring key indictors and provide insights to leadership to oversee their risk profile
• Determining and resolving thematic issues to drive control enhancement opportunities using key data such as Control Reporting & Data insights

What we’re looking for:

• Knowledge of Investment Banking Business products and services 
• Proven demonstrable experience at VP/equivalent level with the ability to influence at senior management level and apply judgement to balance risk versus business interest
• Experience of managing change and proposing business and client focused solutions in complex environment
• Knowledge on aspects of Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Operational Risk Framework (ORF), Barclays Control Framework (BCF)

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Prior experience of working in an Investment Banking environment 
• Solid grasp of risk and issue management and how this is performing with senior/ challenging stakeholders
• Collaborative style with ability to quickly build trust/credibility

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
