Software and Business Applications Sourcing Manager
Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays Software and Business Applications Sourcing Manager, you will lead Sourcing activities for one or more sub-categories of spend within Technology, with a focus on Enterprise Software and Business Applications. This is an opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders in Barclays Businesses, Technology, Finance and Procurement and act as a trusted business partner with the technology clients in order to deliver relevant strategic procurement solutions, cost reduction and risk mitigation opportunities.

What will you be doing?

•    Working with the Category Leaders, Supplier Managers and key Business Users to agree strategies that will optimise supplier costs  
•    Leading commercial and contractual negotiations with relevant suppliers to ensure Barclays receive best value for money and associated cost savings
•    Developing, issuing and managing requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as appropriate to find the best sourcing solution 
•    Liaising with legal for the negotiation of agreements to ensure favourable contractual terms and to mitigate key risks
•    Engaging with key business owners aligned to our policies and control areas to ensure mitigation of business risks
•    Ensuring that robust contracts are successfully transitioned to Supplier Managers within Barclays to manage ongoing supplier governance and controls
•    Interacting at senior level both internally and externally across Barclays business units globally 
•    Working with stakeholders up to MD, senior executive level who are key users/owners of the spend category and negotiate with external suppliers

What we’re looking for:

•    Proven experience of leading and delivering strategic sourcing projects
•    Ability to lead a number highly complex RFPs and demonstrate capability to multitask and prioritise workload
•    Stakeholder management with excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal and demonstrate a high attention to detail and urgency

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Experience of Technology Sourcing and leading complex Software Sourcing projects
•    Experience working within Financial Services
•    Experience of supporting category management development
