As a Barclays Lead UX UI Designer, you will be working for our Barclays Private Bank and Wealth Management business which enables us to assist our clients in growing their wealth responsibly and at each stage of their personal financial journey. At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). What will you be doing?

•    Conducting user research via interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights and understand user needs 
•    Creating visual representations of user journeys and map out the product's layout and functionality to illustrate the user flow and interactions via wireframing and prototyping 
•    Developing high-fidelity mock-ups and information visualisation while ensuring the visual elements align with the brand and enhance the overall user experience
•    Working closely with cross-functional teams to implement design solutions and address usability challenges
•    Ensuring designs are responsive and adaptable across various devices and screen sizes, and integrate accessibility principles to make products equitable for all
•    Working with the Design director to develop and maintain design systems to create consistency in visual elements across different parts of a product or multiple products

What we’re looking for:

•    Excellent portfolio showcasing previous design projects, demonstrating skills in wireframing, prototyping, and a variety of design tools
•    A deep knowledge and execution of Human Centred Design methodologies
•    Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision and Adobe Suite
•    Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and the ability to translate findings into design improvements

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Experience working as a UX/ UI Designer with an in-house Design team or at a Design agency
•    Experience working with the Agile change methodology
