Learning and Development Adviser
Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays Learning and Development Adviser, you will work and collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, operations users and project teams to define training requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to plan, manage and deliver training and user accreditation to meet key milestone dates within the Wholesale Lending Operations Business Area.

What will you be doing?

•    Liaising with all stakeholders including technology and operations partners and drive the documentation of requirements, timelines and obtain stakeholder sign off on artefacts 
•    Facilitating the preparation of training materials and work with stakeholders to schedule and present training  
•    Ensuring continuous improvement is central to the delivery of training, taking feedback from delegates and stakeholders and applying this to training collateral and plans
•    Evaluating operational process and procedure documentation and transforming this into relevant and informative training material
•    Communicating professionally, clearly and confidently to a global audience and be able to competently deliver compliant training on a variety of lending and collateral topics 
•    Assessing the suitability of and use a variety of training delivery methods including face to face training, remote training and eLearning
•    Assessing each individual trainee’s learning styles and pitch the training delivery appropriately to suit the needs and abilities within a group
•    Taking ownership of the learner evaluation/accreditation process, including providing constructive feedback

What we’re looking for:

•    Experience of creating, scheduling & delivering structured training programmes
•    Experience in Secondary Loan Trading and Wholesale Lending
•    Experience at dealing with stakeholders at all levels
•    Proven ability to quickly learn, understand and adapt to new systems and processes

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Knowledge of  Loan IQ and/or ACBS
•    Experience in delivering training to a Global audience
•    General understanding of Banking processes
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
