Job description

CIB: This role will entail helping Barclays deliver financing solutions to its clients by assisting with preparation of marketing material, credit analysis and execution of financing transactions across sectors.

COO Office: The Apprentice will be responsible for monitoring regulatory developments in the financial services sector in India, creating an execution plan to ensure compliance, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, and publishing a fortnightly progress dashboard. The apprentice will use GenAI tools to track the changes and create relevant dashboards.

Customer Service Ops: Corporate Customer Services teams interact with our Corporate clients through our network of 6 branches, email, white mail and phone. The team also provides support for Debit card hot listing and fraud reporting related to IMPS payments.

Finance: The primary function of Financial Control is to ensure that Barclays fulfils its external financial and regulatory reporting requirements, including statutory financial statements and regulatory filings. This includes ensuring that all procedures/processes are completed for timely and accurate reporting of the financial statements to local regulators.

FX Ops: Global Market operations at Barclays manages FX, Derivative, Fixed Income and Money market operations. The following are the products managed by Global Market Operations- Interest Rates Derivatives, FX Spot, Forwards, Options, Fixed Income, Money Markets, Loans and Deposits, Bonds, Government Securities.

Markets BM: Macro Business Management oversees front‑to‑back governance, ensuring adherence to control frameworks, regulatory standards, pricing governance, and escalation requirements across Macro trading businesses. The function partners closely with trading desks to monitor P&L, balance sheet usage, RWA consumption, and performance metrics, supporting strategic decision‑making. Macro Business Management acts as the central interface between trading, COO functions, technology, finance, risk, and compliance.

Markets Sales Support: To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks, providing operational support to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders, helping them maximize their productivity and minimize disruptions and handling administrative tasks, and providing market information and research

Markets Trading Support: Coordination of trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and other internal teams to ensure smooth transactions.

Risk: Ensuring data integrity and robust control environment during risk management process; updating all credit risk systems to ensure that credit limits, internal grades and other credit parameters are in line with approved parameters and ensuring the portfolio and credit processes are in compliance with applicable internal standards and external regulations. Support senior credit officers in developing a Portfolio view of risk being run by the bank.

Credit: The role holder will be required to interact and coordinate with private bankers, service managers and various infrastructure teams to deliver products, solutions, trade ideas/ strategies on a regular basis.

CS: The role aims to support the Company Secretarial team to manage extensive volume of regulatory, compliance, and governance-related responsibilities across multiple entities to comply with corporate law and regulatory requirements applicable to legal entities within Barclays Private Bank, India division.

Investment 1: Support Investment Portfolio Analysts, Investment Advisors, Investment Managers, and Investment Specialists in the Investment team in preparing/ collating presentations/ analytics/ reports/ reviews for clients and prospects.

Investment 2: Support Third Party Public Market Product Team in data gathering & portfolio analytics. This will involve coordinating with various AMCs for data gathering like performance reports, factsheets etc and using software like Bloomberg, ICRA MFI and Morningstar for data creation in excel and power point.

Investment 3: As part of the Investments team, will collaborate with Investment Portfolio Analysts, Investment Advisors, Investment Managers, Investment Specialists, and internal front-to-back-office teams to understand and regularly deliver investment portfolio analysis and reporting requirements.
